A-M-E-R-I-C-A

What a great place to be in the land of the free,
Let’s sing about America.
With her mountains so high they touch the sky
The wheat fields wave in the breeze.
With her towns and cities and high rise-buildings
Let’s make the stand together,
Let’s start working hand in hand, to make our country better.

Looking back through the years and the troubles we’ve have,
I know it won’t be easy to reach our dreams for better things,
I know that we can change it.
People came from far and wide to love and serve our nation,
Let’s never forget how they have to fight some die to keep our freedom.

THIS IS AMERICA,
LET’S ALWAYS BE TRUE.
THIS IS AMERICA
LET’S HOLD TO THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE.

My heart starts to tremble a tear fills my eye
When I think about Old Glory,
And the lady that stands with the torch in her hand
And the Eagle in all its glory.
Now the time is right, that we stand and fight,
To bring us back together,
To be one nation under God and America Forever.

THIS IS AMERICA,
LET’S ALWAYS BE TRUE.
THIS IS AMERICA
LET’S HOLD TO THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE.

THIS IS AMERICA,
LET’S ALWAYS BE TRUE.
THIS IS AMERICA
LET’S HOLD TO THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE.
HOLD TO THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE.
HOLD TO THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE.
HOLD TO THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE.

Why I wrote the Song:

The melody for this song was first conceived for “Don’t Tread on Old Glory” but was not used. Years later, when Jack London was running for Governor in Arizona, I wrote the words to the song called “The Man from Arizona” using this melody since I have always liked it. When John McCain ran for President, I rewrote the song to suit the occasion. Finally, I decided that it is best that I change some of the words and use the same melody to become a song for my country and call it “A-M-E-R-I-C-A” for I believe that this is still the best place to be.
