Lonely Without a Song
Walking in the Footsteps of Your Mind
A-M-E-R-I-C-A
Everybody Needs Someone to Lean On
Everybody Needs Someone to Lean On
Wake up, everybody!
There’s somethin’ that I’ve gotta tell you,
Wake up, rise and shine,
See the world that’s yours and mine;
Help your brother,
Help your sister;
We gotta get this world together;
Everybody needs someone to lean on.
Everybody has a road to walk on,
Everybody has a mountain to climb;
When the road gets hot and dusty,
If the mountain seems high and rugged,
Hold your hand out,
Help a friend;
You’ll find that’s when love begins;
Everybody needs someone to lean on.
Wake up, everybody!
There’s somethin’ that I’ve gotta tell you,
Wake up, rise and shine,
See the world that’s yours and mine;
Help your brother,
Help your sister;
We gotta get this world together;
Everybody needs someone to lean on.
So if you have a troubled mind;
And you feel you have a lonely heart,
Try and help a friend in need,
Then you’ll be a friend indeed;
Everybody needs someone to lean on.
Wake up, everybody!
There’s somethin’ that I’ve gotta tell you,
Wake up, rise and shine,
See the world that’s yours and mine;
Help your brother,
Help your sister;
We gotta get this world together;
Everybody needs someone to lean on.
Everybody needs someone to lean on.
Everybody needs someone to lean on.

Why I wrote the Song:
One day, as I was playing my music and jamming around, the words and music of this song just came to my mind. I was thinking that no matter how great we are, we need someone to lean on….. I wrote the song within an hour, hoping that maybe we would all Wake Up and Help Everyone as much as we could.
